2021 Rodeo Uncorked!® International Wine Competition (Texas Results)

Nov 19th, 2020 This year’s event had 2,601 entries and involving 877 different brands from 18 countries. 89 judges handled the awarding of medals. 2,477 medals were given including 141 Double Gold and 403 Gold medals.

2020 Lone Star International Wine Competition  (Texas Results)

Nov 5th, 2020 The Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association hosted the 37th Annual Lone Star International Wine Competition (LSIWC) on October 28-29 at the Grapevine Convention Center and Visitor’s Bureau. The competition is the oldest wine competition in the State of Texas. 631 medals were awarded to both Texas and international wineries.

2020 Texas International Wine Competition – (Texas Results)

Twenty-four judges and many volunteers visited the town of Buda to judge the 2020 Texas International Wine Competition from February 7-8, 2020. Entries came for the competition came from around the world. At the end of the competition, 569 medals were awarded.

2019 New Orleans International Wine Awards Results

The New Orleans International Wine Competition, in its second year in 2019, set a very high standard last year for evaluation and reward for wines from around the globe. Wines entered are placed into classes which describe their varietal components, their points of origin, their pricing, and their styles.

2020 Houston Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition Results – Texas Results

The 2020 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition was held Nov. 16-17, 2019, at NRG Center. This year’s event had 3,528 entries from 19 countries, including France, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, Israel, Argentina, and South Africa. Texas wineries represented 480 entries, and 380 entries came from this year’s featured region, Mendoza, Argentina.

2019 Lone Star International Wine Competition – Texas Results

The Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association hosted the 36th Annual Lone Star International Wine Competition (LSIWC) on June 3-4 at the Grapevine Convention Center. The competition is the oldest wine competition in the State of Texas. A total of 53 Gold, 233 Silver, and 254 Bronze medals were awarded to the entries. Of the gold medals, 19 wines won Best in Category and 5 wines won Grand Star Best of Show. In addition, 22 wine bottle labels were recognized with a gold, silver, or bronze designation.

2018 Lone Star International Wine Competition – Texas Results

These are the Texas winery results from the 2018 Lone Star International Wine Competition in the 35th year of the competition. The competition was held from June 4-5 and it is the oldest wine competition in Texas. This year 630 wines and 59 wine bottle labels from around the world were judged in 30+ categories. Wines were entered by 97 wineries including 73 Texas wineries, and 24 outside of Texas including two international wineries.  A total of 18 Double Gold, 87 Gold, 344 Silver, and 158 Bronze medals were awarded to the entries.

2018 Houston Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition Results – Texas Results

The 2018 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition was held Nov. 11 – 12, 2017, at NRG Center. This year’s event had a record 3,188 entries from 18 different countries, including Argentina, Austria, Chile, France, Italy, Japan, Portugal, and South Africa. The 2018 featured region, Northern Spain—specifically the wine growing regions of Rioja, Navarra, Priorat, Ribera de Duero, Rueda, Rias Baixas, Valdeorras, and Cava—received 212 entries. Texas wineries represented 420 entries.

2017 Lone Star International Wine Competition Results – Texas Results

These are the Texas winery results from the 2017 Lone Star International Wine Competition in the 34th year of the competition. It is the oldest wine competition in Texas. Almost 600 international wines were submitted to the 2017 Lone Star International Wine Competition and 30 judges tasted and judged the wine in the two-day competition.
